Speedometer 55 version 4.0 in the App Store with PDF-reports, automatic tracking (location based and/or iBeacon)!

It's actually already version 4.0.2 at the time of this writing :).

Apple released iOS 16.4 just two days after we released version 4.0 of the Speedometer 55 and regardless my tests for iOS 16.4 since its first beta, two more releases needed to get it right for iOS 16.4.

What was added?

Two major features in version 4.0 are:

PDF reports for your tracks/mileage. 

Should be great for reimbursement of tax or costs? Filter tracks you want to report on (year, month, purpose as business/personal) > Action button > PDF report.

PDF report header, footer, cost per mile/km/nm is customizable. Here is an example of a PDF report:

Automatic mileage tracking for automotive activities.

Allows to record automotive/driving activities automatically, no need to manually start and stop the track recording. No need to keep the app running. Configure once and let the app track the mileage for you, for tax deduction or reimbursement.

Automatic tracking of automotive activities is switched off by default.

Automatic tracking of automotive activities is an opt-in option that will not interfere with the current and default manual tracking capabilities.

It’s Automatic!

When enabled and configured, automatic tracking will start and stop track recording for automotive activities automatically. You configure the app once and let it track your mileage. No need to have the app on screen, or even running in the background.
